Mineral Potentials of Yazd Province an Investment Opportunity

 

The governor of Yazd said that mineral deposits play an important role in the development and growth of the work.

According to the reporter of the Yazd youth clubs' provinces, Seyyed Mohammad Mir Mohammad Yazdar Yazd said the mineral reserves of the province are 1.2 billion tons, of which 5 million tons have been identified.

 Mirdamedi said on Tuesday, July 27, that the Yazd mining and quarry was the second mining province of the country, and that the government has taken serious measures to address the state of mines and solve its problems.

He continued: "With serious follow-up of officials in recent years, we are witnessing the beginning of the mining operations and the construction of the lead and zinc factories of Mehdi Abad Bahadoran as the second largest deposit of lead and zinc in the world.

The governor of Yazd said that the launch of such mines in the province plays an important role in the development and also the creation of a productive and direct employment field, directly and indirectly.

Miriammadi referred to the capacities of Yazd province in various dimensions, especially its globalization, as well as the existence of the airport and its convenient routes and access to it in the country, and it was considered by all as an opportunity for investment.

The extraction of the world's second lead-zinc mine and the construction of lead and zinc factories began at a ceremony attended by the Minister of Industry in Mahdi Abad Bahadoran, Mehriz city of Yazd.

The lead and zinc mine of Mehdi-Abad is located in the Bahadoran Mehriz village, 45 km from Mehriz and 100 km from the center of Yazd province.

The mine is one of the largest mines in the Middle East with 200 million tons of mineral deposits containing 70 percent Zn and 30 percent lead.
