According to the PR of  Mehdiabad  Mine  Complex ;

Management of  Mehdiabad  Lead and Zinc  Mining  Complex said: This mining complex with annual production capacity of 800 thousand tons of zinc concentrate and 80 thousand tons of lead concentrate will be fully exploited in three stages in 4 years.

And its first phase will be exploited by the end of the year 97 , with a production capacity of 200 thousand  tons of zinc concentrate.

Safari added: "Over the past four months, 12 million tons of  waste  removal has been landed at the site, and the construction of its processing units will begin soon."

He stated that  this  mine  has the  geological reserve  of  716 million ton having  5 percent of  Zinc in the world .

Management of Lead and Zinc mine complex in Mehdiabad added: to finance the entire mine, 1 million dollars are needed for the mine and so far, it has cost more than 150 billion to launch it.

He added that 500 people are currently operating in this mining  complex, which will reach more than 1,000 people by full operation.

The governor  with his economic managers  while visiting the mining operations at a meeting with the officials of the mineral complex, pointing out the important role of the mine in producing lead and zinc in the country and creating employment in the region, attention to the removing  barriers to the implementation of this project is one of the priorities of the province.

Zamani Qomi called on the provincial directors to solve the problems and needs of this complex in their priority.

 Zamani Qimi said : " all organizations  need to be deployed quickly in order to solve  the problem of production and employment, and organizations  such as water, electricity, and the environment must cooperate ."

It was also decided to solve the problem of water supply, electricity and environmental issues of this mining complex.
