Mining Operations Multiplies in Mehdiabad Mine

Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc and Barite Mining Complex CEO: stripping and extracting operations at Mehdiabad Mining Complex will increase by 20 or 30 folds.

As reported by IMIDRO PR, CEO Amin Safari said: the winning consorcium of investment call for Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc Mine transferred the mining machinery required for the first year including 12 dump trucks (100-ton capacity each), 14 dump trucks (35-ton capacity each), 2 shovels (17 cubic meters each), 4 excavators and other machinery. All machinery will be set up and then mining operations will begin in May 2017.

He carried on: by the commence of the machinery operations, 26 million tons will be stripped as planned for the first year. After mine opening, this will rise up to 45 million tons per year.

He went on to say: currently, while mining operations are running, initial steps have been taken to perform the processing tests and technology selection required to construct the  related plants.

Mehdiabad Mining Complex is located at the 75th kilometer of Mehriz Road in Yazd Province.
